Connect from the toolbar without downloading a config or installing a VPN app. The extension also shows your balance, lets you buy plans, and keeps your credentials one click away.

Works in Chrome, Edge, Brave and other Chromium browsers.

Install it

Takes about a minute.

   Download and unzip

   Use the button above, then unzip the file. You'll get a folder called hoodvpn-extension. Keep it somewhere permanent — deleting it removes the extension.

   Open your extensions page

   Paste chrome://extensions into the address bar and press Enter.

   Turn on Developer mode

   Use the toggle in the top-right corner. Without it, the Load unpacked button stays hidden.

   Load unpacked

   Click Load unpacked and select the unzipped folder itself — the one containing manifest.json, not a file inside it.

   Pin it

   Click the puzzle-piece icon in the toolbar and pin HoodVpn so it stays visible.

   Link your account

   Open your account page, click Generate extension token, copy it, then paste it into the extension's settings (⚙).

Then just press Connect

Pick a location, hit Connect, and your browser traffic runs through your own VPN account. The extension shows your new IP so you can see it worked.

What it protects

• Your browser only. Other apps on your device keep using your normal connection. For whole-device protection, download an OpenVPN or WireGuard config from your account instead.
• Your IP address. Websites see the VPN server's IP. Your browser still reports your real timezone, and sites that ask permission for your location can still get it — deny those prompts if that matters to you.
• Search engines can lag. Google remembers a location on your account, so it may keep showing your old city until you update it in search settings or sign out.
• One device at a time. A VPN account holds one connection, so connecting in the browser while the same account runs on your phone will interrupt one of them.
